We apply our skill and knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry to create novel molecules with potential applications in medicinal and polymer/material chemistry. Our research interests lie primarily in the area of peptide chemistry, medicinal chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and methodology/process development. In medicinal chemistry, we apply our focus on anticancer drug development – and lately SARS-CoV-2 drug discovery as well. We have more than two decades of extensive experience in developing synthetic amino acids, peptides and their mimetics and their incorporation into bioactive peptides to modulate bioactivity. We are also developing diverse classes of self-assembling systems and investigating their application potential in polymer/material science.
